Highway Jones @ Storibook Cafe

Did ya'll know that our local Glen Rose, TX band, Highway Jones, played at the Save Chalk Mountain Gala May 2nd, 2009? It was a beautiful location out at Quial Ridge Ranch until it started raining. Poor Keith, He just got set up and ready to play when the rain started coming down and ruined some of his equipment. Everyone tried as fast as they could to get the band under cover. Anyway, this was a benefit to raise monies to fight a rock crushing company that have intentions of destroying one of the historical landmarks of Somervell County and Highway Jones helped us out for entertainment.

So, Storiebook Cafe is asking everyone to come out and tip the band Saturday night to help them pay for new equipment. Highway Jones starts rockin' Glen Rose at 7 pm and will play until 11 pm or the cops show up, whichever happens first.

Wedding Album

Next week will be Lori and Aaron's one year wedding Anniversary. No, this photographer is not a slacker!! This is what happens when you move from a part of the country where everyone has DSL to a rural community that is partially still dial-up. Since going digital I eliminated paper proofing and host the images on my site www.hillcophoto.com. Well, I found out that it is a pain in the a** for the couple if they don't have DSL. I do offer a paper proof fee but didn't properly address the issue when Lori booked the day. So, it took them months to pick out some photos for their album, then there is the designing, more proofing and ta da, an album one year later. I hope they like it.

New Dinosaurs at Dinosaur World in Glen Rose, TX.

The Dinosaur World Staff is excited to have Jo and his helpers here in Glen Rose this week. Jo is not only an owner he also heads up the creative painting of the dinosaurs for all three of our parks.

Jo has been working hard to intall and paint some life size displays that one can see exiting the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. The giraffes you see in the picture are going to be diplayed exiting Dinosaur World to encourage families to explore other aspects of Glen Rose.

Don't think that is all that will be new. We are adding a fictional dinosaur that starred in one of the most popular dinosaur movies of the last decade. If you were in Glen Rose for the Christmas parade you will know which star it is. Other additions include some dino babies and real live fish in our prehistoric pond. Bring your change because feeeding is up to you!
